One of TeamSQL’s newest features is the ability to preview the structure of a particular table. You’ll be able to view the table’s column definitions, as well as information about any indexes that might be on the table.
You can access this information in one of two ways: the first is to open up a pop-up window containing the table structure information, and the second is view it in the Connections Pane.
Begin by hovering over the name of a table in the left-hand Connections Pane. You should see an icon containing the lowercase I.
You can then launch the display windows containing table structure information in one of two ways:
- You can click the icon containing the lowercase I that’s located immediately to the right of the table name.
- You can hold down the Shift key while clicking on the table name.
By default, the table structure information opens to a display of column information.
The other tab on the pop-up displays information about any indexes that might be on the table.
If you want to pop out the displays, you can do so using the appropriate icon in the top-right.
You can also use the refresh button to ensure that your table structure information is up-to-date.
Alternatively, if you want just a glance at table structure information, you can click on the caret to the left of the table to display this information.
