Creating a Chart
The first thing you’ll need to do is open up a new query window.
Write your query and execute it so that you return the data you want to chart.
Notice that there’s now a Charts button in your toolbar. Click to launch the Chart Creation Wizard.
At the top of the window, select the chart you’d like to create. For the purposes of this example, we’ll create a bar chart.
Next, we will set the fields we want on our X-axis and Y-axis. Note that, for the data points you want on the Y-axis, you have the ability to change the column used, its mode, and its alias.
If you make any changes, be sure to click Save when you’re done.
Once you’ve made all of the changes you want, click Create to proceed.
At this point, you’ll now see your chart. You can bring up a legend by hovering your cursor over the chart itself.
You can also change the type of chart at any time by using the row of type selection buttons at the top. However, you’ll only see a proper chart if it makes sense based on the data you’ve chosen.
If you’d like to save your chart, you can click the cog icon to the top right of the chart. You can chose to save (as a PNG file) or copy to clipboard.
That’s it. Happy charting!
